These content guidelines ensure quality listings that serve our community well. All sellers must follow these guidelines when creating listings.
Listing Quality
Listings must include clear, high-quality images that accurately represent the pattern. At least one preview image should show the finished project. Images must be your own or properly licensed. Text descriptions should be thorough and accurate.
File Requirements
Digital files must be in commonly available formats (PDF, SVG, PNG, etc.). Files must be complete and functional. Include all necessary files (pattern pieces, instructions, etc.) in the download.
Accurate Descriptions
Your listing title and description must accurately describe what buyers will receive. Include: difficulty level, finished dimensions, materials needed, skill requirements, and any restrictions on use.
Categories and Tags
List items in the appropriate categories. Use relevant tags to help buyers find your products. Don't stuff tags with unrelated keywords. Misclassifying items may result in listing removal.
Prohibited Content
Don't list: patterns containing hate speech or discriminatory imagery; adult or explicit content; illegal items or instructions; counterfeit or pirated materials; anything that infringes on third-party rights.
Multiple Listings
Don't list the same pattern multiple times under different names. If you offer a pattern in multiple formats or sizes, these may be listed separately if clearly distinguished.
Competition
Don't undercut other sellers on price for identical products. Don't post disparaging comments about other sellers or their products.
Compliance
Listings must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Sellers are responsible for ensuring their products are legal to sell in their jurisdiction and in the buyer's jurisdiction.
